2011 Premier League Preview – How Will it Go Down?
The Premier League means different things to the twenty different clubs battling it out in this season’s challenge. With Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Phil Jones and David de Gea alongside Hernandez, Rooney, and Nani– the side, even sans Paul Scholes, looks poised to overcome all odds.
Manchester City: Manchester City could finish in second spot, with stiff resistance from Chelsea under Andre Villas-Boas. The richest club in the league has the likes of David Silva, Mario Balotelli and new striker Sergio Aguero to make an impact. The side is a brilliant one, even better than Man U some may feel, which adds more pressure on City to deliver when it matters most. Chelsea: Lampard, Drogba, Cole and Terry are all world class players, but their fitness levels and ageing bodies do not inspire much confidence as far as the gruelling EPL marathon goes. Neither Arsenal nor Liverpool are expected to pose a big challenge to Manchester United in the quest for the title, so it really comes down to who will finish in the top four. The general consensus is that Tottenham Hotspur will round up the EPL top six.
