The Charles Schwab Challenge is a stroke play PGA tournament that has been a stop on the tour since 1946. It first began as the Colonial National Invitation in 1946 and USA’s Ben Hogan won the 1st tournament by 1 stroke over USA’s Harry Todd.
This tournament has now been called the Charles Schwab Challenge since 2019. It is played on a par 70 course at Colonial Country Club and the course stretches over 7,209 yards. The total purse this year is $7.5 million with 1st place taking home $1.35 million.
