2015 WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – McIlroy & Spieth Favorites: The 2015 WGC Cadillac Championship Match Play odds have been posted at top-rated Bovada Sportsbook and the favorites atop this week’s PGA odds are Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth at 9/1 odds to win apiece. This year’s edition of the WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship will be the 17th all-time and is scheduled to take place starting Wednesday, April 29th and conclude on Sunday, May 3rd at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California.
The 2015 WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship will have a new format this year as it will no longer have a single elimination match play format among the 64 players and will now start off with a pool play format consisting of 16 separate groups with 4 players each. The 16 groups will play in round robin matches the first three days of the event(Wednesday thru Friday) with the 16 winners of each group being placed in 16 groups for the weekend with the remaining 48 players being placed in three separate groups(seeds 17–32, seeds 33–48, seeds 49–64). The remaining 48 players will then be randomly chosen from each group(17-32, 33-48, 49-64) and placed in the 16 groups with the top seeds to complete the groups for weekend action. The top 64 players in the World Rankings as of April 26th will determine the seeds.
The weekend will have the winners of each group advancing to participate in a single-elimination bracket. The round of 16 and quarterfinals will take place at beautiful TPC Harding Park on Saturday with the semis and consolation match taking place on Sunday. The 2015 WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship takes place on a gorgeous par 72 course that stretches over 7,169 yards. The total purse for this year’s event is $9,250,000 with the winner going home with a nice sum of $1,570,000.
