2009 US PGA Championship Odds – Tiger Woods the Favorite

NSAwins.com has posted the odds to win the 2009 US PGA Championship and vegas oddsmakers have made Tiger Woods the overwhelming 3/2 favorite. The 4-time PGA Championship winner will be looking for a record-tying 5th win at at Hazeltine National Golf Club this week. Tiger enters the PGA Championship on fire, as he has won the last two weekends(Bridgestone Invitational and Buick Open) and three of the tour’s last four events. The only hiccup for Tiger was the British Open three weeks ago, when he failed to even make the cut. Tiger appears to be hitting on all cylinders and will be tough to catch if he brings the same game he has been bringing the past couple weeks. Tiger has won an incredible 22 of the last 40 tournaments he has played in and will be looking to capture his 15th career major tour championship as he continues to chase Jack Nicklaus’s tour record of 18 majors. Another player to keep an eye on this week is Padraig Harrington. Harrington is the defending champion in this tournament and took Tiger to the 16th round in last week’s Bridgestone Invitational before faltering. Harrington has been swinging really well and the 3-time major winner might be a solid play at 22/1 odds. Besides Tiger and Harrington, other players of note to keep an eye on this weekend are Phil Mickelson(22/1), Lee Westwood(25/1), and Hunter Mahan(28/1).
