Free NHL Playoffs Picks and Odds – Game 6 Boston Bruins at Tampa Bay Lightning Favorite, Moneyline, Total and Predictions 5/25/11: The Tampa Bay Lightning are on their last breath in this eastern conference finals affair, but they are defiantly not out of it. They have been competitive and aggressive in the five games of this series thus far but have yet to capitalize on any bounces their way. The Bolts’ will be inserting goaltender Dwayne Roloson back between the pipes tonight in hopes he can rekindle his game and form, which is so desperately needed at this point. Roloson was bounced from the starting lineup earlier in this series because he was not allowing his team the opportunity to stay in hockey games. He was giving up soft goals and too many ‘juicy’ rebounds to the puck happy Bruins. Steven Stamkos has not been himself in this series but he has been given a vote of confidence across the board and he should be ready to go tonight in game 6.
One game away is the last thing on the Boston Bruins minds tonight, as they know the complications that can arise from thinking too far. In last year’s postseason run they coughed up their season from four consecutive losses to the Montreal Canadians. Up three games to none, the Boston Bruins believed they could coast their way into the second round of the NHL playoffs but their careless approach and conservative approach turned to bite them in the rear. The Bruins know the dangers of giving momentum away to the Tampa Bay Lightning and they will stop at nothing to wrap up the series tonight. Tim Thomas is the story for the Bruins in this series as he has single handily stolen games from the Lightning with his quick glove and impressive technique. If he can guide his team through to a Stanley Cup then he is all but assured of the Conn Smythe for this years playoffs.
Tonight we will recommend a play on the Tampa Bay Lightning(Get the latest lines at JustBET Sportsbook). The Bruins have, to this point, been receiving some pretty fruitful bounces and luck come their way. Several goals in this series for the Bruins were the exact result of errant bounces or misfortunate, on the Lightning’s side, deflections. That is not to take anything away from the Bruins 3-2 series lead, but the series has been extremely tight and the Lightning’ are not out of it by any means. Steven Stamkos has been quite average thus far in this series but there are signs he is about to break loose. He has seen flying around the ice in game 5, creating opportunities and providing some exciting hockey for fans. He is a dynamic two way player and a competitive one at that, he will be firing on all cylinders tonight to stave off elimination. Tampa Bay has great home ice presence and I expect the fans to give them the added boost to perform tonight. Tampa Bay is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home and is 9-3 SU in its last 12 games. Let’s not forget, this Tampa club disposed of the mighty Washington Capitals in 4 straight, so the talent and mindset is there. We will consider the Lightning pushing this series back to Bean town for the all enticing game 7 affair. Cheers!
