The early odds for Week 1 of the 2009 NFL Football season have been posted at NSAwins.com and vegas oddsmakers have made the New England Patriots a huge -10 favorite at home against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football(7:05 PM EST, September 14). The Patriots are the odds on favorite to win 2010 Super Bowl XLIV(see Updated Super Bowl XLIV Odds) at 4.5/1(+450) and are expecting big things this year with the return of Tom Brady. Brady, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in week 1 last season, appears to be back at full strength according to reports coming out of Patriots training camp in Foxboro, MA. The Patriots could be in for a tougher game than they expect on opening night, however, as their division rival Buffalo comes to town with newly acquired receiver Terrel Owens. The early total line for this game has been set at 46.5. In other week 1 NFL games of note, the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers are listed as -5 point favorites versus Tennessee on NFL’s opening night(Thursday, September 10) and the Green Bay Packers are -3 point favorites at home against long-time rival Chicago. Jay Cutler will be making his regular season debut for the Bears in that game, which is scheduled to telecast nationally on NBC’s Sunday Night Football(8:25 PM EST, Sunday, September 13).
