The 2009 NFL preseason starts on August 9th and today is a good time to take a look at the odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl. The Patriots, behind the return of Tom Brady from a season-ending knee injury last year, are the early favorites by vegas oddsmakers at +400(4/1). If the Patriots are to claim their 4th Lombardi Trophy this decade this season, than they will have to hold off serious competition from the Steelers(+600, 6/1) and Chargers(+800, 8/1) in the AFC. While the AFC should be a highly competitive conference this season, the NFC also has it’s share of teams that have the ability to make and win Super Bowl XLIV. Vegas oddsmakers have made the Eagles(+750, 7.5/1) the slight preseason favorite, while their NFC East rival New York Giants are not far behind at +800(8/1).
