Friday Night NFL Preseason Picks: Green bay Packers @ Indianapolis Colts 2011 NFL Preseason Vegas Odds, Free Picks, and Expert Predictions on CBS 8/26/11: Super Bowl MVP Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will lead the Champion Green Bay Packers to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Payton Manning less Indianapolis Colts at 8:00 PM ET tonight on CBS Sports. Both of these teams finished with identical 10-6 records last season and made the playoffs as Wild Cards but the playoffs were a different story as the Colts lost 17-16 to the New York Jets in the first round and now quarterback Payton Manning is recovering from neck surgery and is out indefinitely possibly missing the season opener. Green Bay went on to get stronger and healthier as the playoffs continued and went on to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers as Super Bowl Champions. Much to the chagrin of the other teams in the league the Packs looks better than they did toward the end of last season with a healthy group of players and a lot of confidence. The Packers are 1-1 this preseason coming off a victory 28-20 over the Arizona Cardinals in which quarterback Aaron Rodgers played for most of the first half completing 9 of 12 balls for 97 yards and a touchdown. Mopping up for Rodgers backup Matt Flynn completed a tidy 5 of 6 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown as well. If head football coach Mike McCarthy gets lucky and this team stays healthy we could have a back to back champion. The Colts should be in a panic mode as they have lost both preseason games most recently a 16-3 defeat to the Washington Redskins and have totaled just 13 points total. Never fear Kerry Collins is here! The Colts signed Collins to a two year dear to hopefully be a backup and to give them an experienced leader if Manning is not ready for week one. Getting the earliest work at quarterback has been Dan Orlovsky completing just 11 of 27 passes for 178 yards a touchdown and 3 picks for a big 36.3 passer rating and Curtis Painter is 8 or 16 for 95 yards an interception and a 42.4 passer rating. Ouch! Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 39 points combined of the Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts.
