Enough of the fake games and the hype….let’s get this season off to a flying start! I’ll be picking all the Thursday/Monday prime time games each week along with selected Sunday games. In case you didn’t follow my picks last year, here are my stats….full disclosure here!!

THURSDAY 9/8
Green Bay Minus 4.5 – Both teams have prolific offenses and can move the ball but I’ll put my money on Green Bay’s defense being the difference. They can get after the QB and have lots of ball-hawks in the secondary. Plus, the last time we saw New Orleans’ defense, they were getting worked by that big offensive juggernaut called the Seattle Seahawks.
SUNDAY 9/11
Arizona Minus 7 – Cam Newton is a little cocky for my liking and thinks he’s arrived…..well…the Cards will provide a little reality check. The Panthers will have trouble moving the ball and their defense is not going to stone Arizona. The Cards by 10 or more….
New York Jets Minus 4.5 – Tough matchup for the Boys, they will have trouble passing on Gang Green and generally moving the ball. The Cowboys are weak, weak, weak in the secondary and will give up the big play. NY by 7…
Seattle Plus 5 – In a battle of college coaches, break out the pom poms and rah, rah speeches… this is an evenly matched game, so I’ll take the 5 points.
St. Louis Plus 4.5 – I’m so sick of the Dream Team hype, the Vick hype and all the other hype surrounding this Eagle squad. I think Johnny Public will be all over Philly in this game, so I’ll go the other way and take the points with an improving Ram team at home.
MONDAY 9/12
New England Minus 7– I really think this line is too high but I’ll go with the Pats anyway… Miami is not a hostile environment, there will be plenty of NE fans in the stands and its early in the season so the players won’t be gassed in the heat. Miami might be able to keep it close for awhile, but NE will wear them out and pull away at the end.
Oakland Plus 3 – The Raiders have more talent than the Donkeys and lets just say I’m not too impressed with John Fox. I’ll take the points in a game where Oakland can easily win outright.
