Happy New Year everyone! Week 17 in the NFL, this is one weekend I hate to pick games… Some teams have already made tee times and have their bags packed already, some are playing for jobs, some will rest players before the playoffs, etc. You have to take all that into consideration then figure if the line is skewed because of these things…oh well enough whining, here are the picks….

Sunday 1/2
Indianapolis Minus 9.5 – Indy needs this game and given that Jacksonville is playing at the same time, the Colts will need to play the starters. Tennessee has packed it in and quit on Porn Stache and their minds are on who the new coach will be… Colts by 2 TD’s or more.
Pittsburgh Minus 5.5 – The Men of Steel need this game for the bye and 2nd seed. Plus they remember last year when they lost to the Browns who knocked them out… No such let down this time around.
Cincinnati Plus 9.5 – Cincy is playing better without the diva receivers and they matchup well with the Ravens and have won the last 3 games outright against Baltimore. I see no reason why they can’t at least keep it close. I’ll take the Bengals with the points.
Green Bay Minus 10 – Chicago can’t lose their seeding and really have no reason to play everyone. The Packers are the better team anyway and would win this game whether the Bears play everyone or not. Give me some Green Bay.
New York Jets Minus 1 – The Jets players have jumped in with both feet to back their embattled freak of a head coach… I know they don’t have a bye and may rest some people for the playoffs but they also need some momentum going in. And who better to gain momentum against than the Bills? I’ll take NY with a small number to cover.
Tampa Bay Plus 8 – I’ve been on Tampa’s bandwagon all year and they are still alive in the playoff hunt, albeit just slightly alive. Therefore, they will play hard and make this a competitive game. Most of the games in this division have been tight affairs so I’ll take the points here.
Seattle Plus 3 – Look I think St. Louis has a better team and can win this game, but the Rams are young and they aren’t exactly road warriors and this game and road environment might be too much for them at this stage. I won’t surprised if St. Louis wins but I’m betting the home team with the hostile environment and getting points.
