2019 NFL Predictions – AFC Division Odds & Projected Winners to Bet On
2019 AFC East Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. New England Patriots(-550 odds at Bovada)
The Patriots have owned this division ever since Tom Brady stepped on the field back in 2001. New England has won the last 10 AFC East titles and 15 of the last 16. And, guess what? You should bet on them to win it again this season with ease. New England won their 6th Super Bowl title last season and are the +700 favorites to win the Super Bowl again this season. Look for the Pats defense to be among the best in the NFL this season after a strong draft and nice veteran additions in DE Michael Bennett and OLB Jamie Collins. Tom Brady still has gas left in his tank and the Pats running game should help compensate for the loss of TE Rob Gronkowski to retirement. The Pats have few weaknesses and should be the last team anyone wants to see in January again this season.

2019 AFC North Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. Pittsburgh Steelers(+195 odds at Bovada)
The Steelers failed to win double digit games and make the playoffs for the first time since the 2013 season last year. Pittsburgh went 9-7 in a season that was filled with injuries and off field drama. Gone are wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell as the Steelers look to get their lockerroom back and everyone on the same page. That’s exactly why we like the Steelers to surprise people and be better than the experts think. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have a lot to prove without Brown and we look for wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster to have a great season picking up the slack. The real reason for optimism is the improved defense. Pittsburgh has some nice young talent at linebacker with their 2018 1st rd pick T.J. Watt at OLB and their 2019 1st rd pick Devin Bush at ILB. Expect the Steelers defense to be among the Top 10 in the league.

2019 AFC South Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. Indianapolis Colts(+105 odds at Bovada)
The Colts come into this season with high expectations after going 10-6 last season and winning 10 of their final 12 games. Head coach Frank Reich led the team to the AFC Division Round Playoffs before getting outclassed 31-13 at Kansas City. Quarterback Andrew Luck had a great season last year coming back from injury as he finished with 4593 passing yards and 39 touchdowns against 15 interceptions. The Colts offense should be explosive again this season and should have no problem finishing in the top 10 of the league again. Meanwhile, the real cause for optimism is the improving defense. The Colts finished 11th in the NFL in total defense last season and used 6 of their first 7 draft picks on the defensive side of the ball. Look for the Colts to have a defense that gets better as the season goes along and a very formidable defense come playoff time.

2019 AFC West Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. Kansas City Chiefs(-155 odds at Bovada)
The Chiefs are coming off of another AFC West Division title as they went 12-4 last season and reached the AFC Title Game. They ended up losing to eventual Super Bowl Champion New England 37-31 in overtime at home. The Chiefs look poised to make another deep run in the playoffs this season and many experts are picking them to win the Super Bowl. We aren’t quite believers in the Chiefs being Super Bowl Champion caliber but we are believers in quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes took the NFL by storm last season in his first year as a starter as he won the NFL MVP after throwing for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns against just 12 interceptions. The kid is the real deal and should be arguably the best quarterback in the NFL for years to come. Having said that, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see him come down a notch this season from last year’s historic numbers. The rest of the NFL has plenty of game tape on him now and it’s just not easy to dominate the NFL year after year in the way he did last season. However, make no mistake, the Chiefs will still have one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses as long as he and tight end Travis Kelce are healthy. The real concern for the Chiefs is their defense. It was the weak link last season and the Chiefs decided to overhaul it in the offseason. The jury is out on whether it will be much improved but we do like the additions of veteran defensive end Frank Clark and safety Tyrann Mathieu.
