New England Patriots(+375 Odds to Win 2018 Super Bowl LII at Bovada) The Patriots are coming off their 5th Super Bowl win in the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era and they attacked the offseason as if they are trying to win their first. New England had a helluva offseason in which they traded for wide receiver Brandin Cooks and signed free agent cornerback Stephon Gilmore among a slew of other moves that really bolstered their roster heading into the 2017 season. Frankly, this is the most talented roster in terms of talent and youth in the Belichick era in New England. Some may argue the 2007 team that went 18-1 was better but that team was long in the tooth, especially defensively, and this team has much more speed on both sides of the ball and overall weaponry on offense. New England will once again be the favorite to win the Super Bowl this season if they avoid a bunch of injuries. You can almost permanent marker them in for the AFC Championship Game at minimum.
Green Bay Packers(+750 Odds to Win 2018 Super Bowl LII at Bovada) The Packers have now made the playoffs the last 8 seasons and that is a remarkable feat especially in the tough NFC. However, the Packers have only been to and won one Super Bowl in the Aaron Rodgers era and that isn’t good enough considering how great and historical a talent like Rodgers is. Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL when he is playing his “A” game and we all saw that last season down the stretch and in the Cowboys NFC Playoff Game that he won the game with by throwing an absurd pass in the last minute to setup a game winning field goal. The Packers did a nice job building in the offseason and Rodgers will now have a high quality tight end in Martellus Bennett to throw to. The sky is the limit for the Packers this season offensively and there is no reason they can’t win the Super Bowl if the defense can be improved at all.
Pittsburgh Steelers(+1200 Odds to Win 2018 Super Bowl LII at Bovada) The sense of urgency is real in Pittsburgh as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is not getting any younger and this season may be the last real chance for the Steelers to win a Super Bowl with him at the helm. The Steelers have a loaded team offensively that may be the best in the entire NFL as wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell are two of the top 10 players in the NFL. The Steelers main problem is fixing a defense that gets torched and shredded every time they face Tom Brady and the Patriots. The zone coverage simply does not work against Brady and the Steelers have finally started to admit that and have stated they plan on using more man to man coverage when facing New England this season. If the Steelers can somehow get past New England there could be no stopping them in the Super Bowl no matter who they face.
