2018 AFC East Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. New England Patriots(-640 odds to win AFC East at Bovada) – The Patriots have won the AFC East the last 9 years in a row and 14 out of the last 15 season. Simply put, they own this division and that shouldn’t change this year. The Patss are coming off of a tough Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but they still have head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady for at least this season. That should be more then good enough to see New England claim a remarkable 10th straight AFC East title even though there are some legit concerns over the talent on defense and the offense will have to overcome the loss of wide receiver Julian Edelman for the 1st four games after he received a suspension for PED use. 2018 AFC North Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. Pittsburgh Steelers(-300 odds to win AFC North at Bovada) – The Steelers went a dominant 13-3 last season to win the AFC North but fell flat in the playoffs with an embarrassing home playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional Round. Head coach Mike Tomlin is in his 12th year as Steelers coach and has a record of 116-60 overall but has his fair share of detractors as many feel he should own more then one Super Bowl ring. The Steelers will once again be the most talented team in the AFC North and arguably the entire AFC so the pressure is on Tomlin to get this team back to the Super Bowl and win it’s 7th Lombardi trophy in franchise history. 2018 AFC South Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. Jacksonville Jaguars(+180 odds to win AFC South at Bovada) – The Jaguars won the AFC South Division title last season finishing 10-6 and are the favorites to win it again this season. The Jaguars came within minutes of reaching the Super Bowl last season as they had the New England Patriots on the ropes in the AFC Championship Game but couldn’t withstand the greatness of Tom Brady before losing the lead and game in the 4th quarter. The Jaguars have one of the best defenses in the NFL and should only be better this season as their top players mature and come in with valuable playoff experience this year. The big question mark for Jacksonville continues to be quarterback Blake Bortles and the jury is out on whether he can get Jacksonville to the Super Bowl and win it. 2018 AFC West Division Prediction and Odds to Win
1. LA Chargers(+175 odds to win AFC West at Bovada) – The Chargers had a solid season last year as they finished 9-7 overall for 1st year head coach Anthony Lynn. The Chargers finished strong winning 6 of their final 7 games and just missed out on the playoffs. The expectations are high this season for the Chargers and they have a talented roster on both sides of the ball that is capable making some noise in the playoffs. Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers is back to run the offense and he’s coming off of a strong season that saw him throw for 4515 yards and 28 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions last season. Defensively, the Chargers finished 15th in total defense last year but we look for them to possibly crack the top 10 this season.
