2017 NFL NFC Championship Odds & Predictions – Top 3 Vegas Favorites

New York Giants(11-5 in 2016, +800 odds to Win 2017 NFC Title) – The New York football Giants are poised to make a run at the 3rd Super Bowl Championship in the Eli Manning era as the Gmen appear stacked on both sides of the ball heading into the 2017 season. The Giants defense was one of the best units in football last season and should only be better this season with the addition of stout defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson out of Alabama who was drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. Meanwhile, the offense should be more explosive and consistent with the addition of veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall in free agency and tight end Evan Engram out of Ole Miss in the 1st round of the NFL Draft. The Giants are one of the most complete teams in the entire NFL and should be a serious Super Bowl contender in 2017.

Green Bay Packers(10-6 in 2016, +400 odds to Win 2017 NFC Title) – The Green Bay Packers are the perfect illustration as to why the NFL is a quarterback league and why it’s clearly the most important position in all of sports. Frankly, the Packers are legit contenders to win the NFC Title for one reason and that’s quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Packers would not even sniff the playoffs and certainly wouldn’t sniff out a win in the playoffs if it wasn’t for Rodgers. The Packers talent level overall is closer to the middle of the pack in the NFL than the top but the presence of the most talented quarterback in the NFL, Rodgers, simply gives them the leg up it needs to win games that it shouldn’t. The Packers offense should be great this season with a healthy Jordy Nelson and the addition of tight end Martellus Bennett who was signed as a free agent from New England. Atlanta Falcons(11-5 in 2016, +500 odds to Win 2017 NFC Title) – The Falcons will have to overcome the effects of a Super Bowl loss that all losing Super Bowl teams(see 2016 Carolina Panthers) must endure the next season after a crushing defeat. Of course, the fashion in which the Falcons lost to New England in the Super Bowl by blowing a 28-3 lead only stresses how important it is getting off to a strong start in the 2017 season to wash that bad taste away. The Falcons have one of the fastest teams on both sides of the ball in the NFL and their defense should be much improved this season with all their young players having an extra season of experience under their belts plus the addition of defensive end Takkarist McKinley out of UCLA in the 1st round of the NFL draft. We expect Atlanta to be one of the few losing Super Bowl teams that is able to come back and have a strong follow up season. The Falcons are the real deal and should be a Super Bowl contender again this year.
