2017 Free NFL Picks & Predictions Week 4 – NFL Betting Picks for Sunday 10/1/17
Bet on New England Patriots -9 over Carolina Panthers The betting line for this week 4 NFL matchup at Bovada has the Patriots listed as a -9 point favorite and the betting total at over/under 49 points. New England comes in with a record of 2-1 overall and 1-2 against the spread after beating the Houston Texans 36-33 at home last Sunday as a -13.5 point favorite. The Panthers are also 2-1 overall and 1-1-1 against the spread after losing at home last Sunday to the New Orleans Saints 34-13 as a -5.5 point favorite.
New England enters this game rolling offensively as they put up 396 total yards against a very good Texans defense. Quarterback Tom Brady is playing lights out the last two weeks as he has thrown for 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions while leading the Patriots offense to 36 points in both games. We are putting a bet in on New England to cover the -9 point spread over the Panthers as we don’t see Carolina being able to slow down Brady and keep up with the Pats offense on the scoreboard. The Panthers offense hasn’t posted more than 288 yards of offense in any of their three games and it’s hard to stay in a game with New England if you can’t go up and down the field with Brady. Bet on New England -9 at Bovada.
Bet on New York Giants +3.5 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers The betting odds for this week 4 NFL matchup in the NFC has Tampa Bay as a -3.5 point favorite with the betting total at over/under 43.5 points. The Buccaneers enter this game at home with an overall record of 1-1 and 1-1 against the spread after losing 34-17 at the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday as a pick’em on the spread. The Giants are 0-3 and 1-2 against the spread after losing 27-24 at the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday as a +5 point underdog.
The Giants are playing for their season on Sunday as you can basically turn out the lights and put them in a casket if they lose this game. Their season will be dead at 0-4. We are betting on the Giants +3.5 for that reason and for the fact that we still think they are the better team. The Giants are far too talented to be 0-3 right now and certainly have no business being 0-4. The Giants offense finally found it’s groove in the 4th quarter against the Eagles as they put up 24 points and we look for them to carry that over this week against a Bucs defense that gave up 34 points and 494 total yards last week to the Vikings. Bet on NY Giants -+3.5 at Bovada.
