The odds makers have made Carolina a -3 point favorite with the game total listed at over/under 41.5 points.
Week 1 NFL action picks back up on Sunday, September 11th with the season’s first Sunday card. There are 13 games scheduled for Sunday including three division matchups out of the gate. The 1PM EST set of games have the Atlanta Falcons -3 at home versus Tampa Bay, Minnesota Vikings -2 at home against Tennessee, Philadelphia Eagles -4 at home versus Cleveland, Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 at the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints -1 at home versus Oakland, Kansas City Chiefs -7 at home versus San Diego, Baltimore Ravens -3 at home against Buffalo, Houston Texans -6.5 at home against Chicago and the Green Pay Packers -4.5 on the road at Jacksonville.
The late Sunday afternoon action after 4PM EST has three games scheduled for week 1. The Seattle Seahawks are listed as -10.5 point home favorites against the Miami Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys are a pick’em at home against the New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts are a -3.5 point home favorite against the Detroit Lions. The Cowboys and Giants game is especially intriguing in our eyes as Tony Romo is out, the Giants have a new head coach and the Cowboys will be starting a rookie quarterback in Dak Prescott.
The Sunday night matchup for week 1 looks like a really good game to watch and bet on as the New England Patriots travel to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, AZ. The odds makers have made Arizona a -6 point favorite against the Patriots as New England quarterback Tom Brady is out due to his four game suspension for “Deflategate”. The total is listed at over/under 47 points.
The week 1 Monday Night football action has two games scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Washington Redskins in the nation’s capital at 7:10 PM EST and the Los Angeles Rams traveling in-state to take on the San Francisco 49ers on their home turf. The odds makers have the Steelers listed as a -3 point favorite with the total over/under 50 points and the Rams listed as a -2.5 point favorite with the total at over/under 44 points.
