New England -7 over Pittsburgh – The New England Patriots are 5-1 overall and rolling into Pittsburgh this afternoon to battle a 4-2 Steelers team that will be without their star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Backup Landry Jones gets the starting nod for head coach Mike Tomlin today and he will have his hands full trying to keep the Steelers close to a Patriots offense that is clicking on all cylinders since the return of all pro quarterback Tom Brady. Brady has led the Pats to two easy wins in blowout fashion over the Browns 33-13 and Bengals 35-17. Brady has the best tight end duo in the league in Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett and should be able to march the Pats up and down the field against a suspect Steelers defense that has always struggled trying to defend a Brady passing attack. New England has owned the Steelers in the Brady era and we see no reason to think today will be anything different. Lay the points with the Patriots and watch Brady put on another clinic.

Philadelphia +3 over Minnesota – The Minnesota Vikings head into the City of Brotherly Love with a sparkling 5-0 record and looking every bit the part of a Super Bowl contender behind quarterback Sam Bradford and one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Vikings have had an extra week to prepare for the 3-2 Philadelphia Eagles who come in on a two game losing streak including a 27-20 loss at Washington last Sunday. The Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has come back down to earth after a sensational start to his NFL career and he will need to protect the ball and play on the top of his game today if the Eagles are to pull off the upset this afternoon. We look for the Eagles to do just that as they absolutely need to win this game to keep close to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East Division race and they have a defense that is ranked 4th in the NFL in points allowed and are more than capable of shutting down Bradford’s Vikings offense this afternoon. Take the points with the home underdog today as we look for the Eagles to grind out a hard fought win at home.

Oakland +1.5 over Jacksonville – The Oakland Raiders head down south to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars Sunday afternoon in what looks like it will be one of the most competitive games of the day. The Raiders enter this game 4-2 overall and 3-0 on the road as they look to stay atop the AFC West Division and on track to return to the NFL Playoffs this season. Meanwhile, the Jaguars enter this game 2-3 overall but coming in off of two straight wins over the Colts and Bears. The Jaguars want to get back to .500 today at home but the Raiders are a step above the Bears and Colts talent-wise and we simply don’t see the Raiders dropping this very winnable game. The Raiders have proven they can play well on the road so far this season and quarterback Derek Carr should have the Raiders offense back in gear with a huge bounce back game after putting up just 10 points at home last week in a 26-10 loss to Kansas City. Take the better team and the points today as Oakland +1.5 should get us the money.
