3 Teams to Bet On to go OVER their Win Total
1. New England Patriots(OVER 10.5 Wins) – The defending Super Bowl Champions are a great bet to go OVER their 10.5 win total regardless if Tom Brady’s four game suspension is upheld or not. Bill Belichick is the best head coach in the business and will find a way to go .500 at worst in those four games with the more likely scenario 3-1. The Patriots will have one of the Top 5 offenses in the NFL and their defense will find a way to overcome the losses of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner in the secondary with an improved front seven led by an outstanding linebacking trio that features Jamie Collins, Jarod Mayo and Dont’a Hightower.
2. Green Bay Packers(OVER 11 Wins) – The Packers are the Super Bowl favorites this season as far as we are concerned and quarterback Aaron Rodgers is simply the best in the business. How can you not go OVER the relatively low number of 11 wins? Frankly, this line is absurd. The Packers should win 12 wins with ease and most likely will win 13 or 14 with arguably the best offense in all of football to go along with an improved defense. Add a healthy dose of motivation after they blew the NFC Title Game last year and this has all the makings of a dominant season for the Packers.
3. Houston Texans(OVER 8.5 Wins) – The Texans won 9 games last season and have since added a solid veteran quarterback in Brian Hoyer, a solid veteran nose tackle in Vince Wilfork and an outstanding draft class to go along with the return of last year’s #1 draft pick in defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. The Texans will have to overcome the loss of wide receiver Andre Johnson but the Texans should be fine and better offensively with a solid vet like Hoyer running the show if he ultimately beats out Ryan Mallett as we expect. If Hoyer doesn’t beat out Mallett then that should only mean Mallett is playing above average and that bodes well no matter how you slice it. Expect another monster year from J.J. Watt and the Texans should match last year’s win total at minimum.
