Buffalo Bills +3.5 over Cincinnati Bengals – The Bengals enter this week’s action 5-0 straight up and 4-0-1 against the spread and the so-called experts are calling them “for real” and a true threat to win the AFC. Pump the brakes. The Bengals are a very good team but far from great and they will get a reality check this Sunday in Orchard Park when they take on Rex Ryan’s Bills defense. The Bills are 3-2 overall and their two losses have come against New England and the New York Giants in their last two home games. You can expect a very motivated Bills team to come out strong and avoid a third straight home defeat on Sunday and establish themselves as legit AFC contenders with an outright win at home against the Bengals. The Bills defense has held four of their five opponents thus far to under 400 total yards offensively and to 24 points or less and we look for them to keep Cincinnati’s offense to their lowest point total and yardage this Sunday. Take the Bills +3.5 as they should win outright.

Washington Redskins +7 over New York Jets – Since when did the New York Jets become a powerhouse? Seriously, a -7 point favorite at home against a Washington Redskins team that is arguably just as good as they are? Absurd. The Redskins are 2-3 overall but easily could be 3-2 overall and have been very solid defensively this season holding four out of their five opponents to 363 total yards or less. The Redskins almost won outright last week against a very good Atlanta Falcons team on the road and will not be intimated going on the road again this Sunday against a Jets team that is solid but far from great. The Jets are 3-1 overall and rested coming off the bye but their three wins have come against teams struggling in the Browns, Colts and Dolphins. They simply have no business laying 7 points to a Redskins team that very easily could win outright this week. Take the points as this game will be very close and we see no way how the Jets win to cover the high -7 number.

Cleveland Browns +5 over Denver Broncos – The Browns are 2-3 overall coming into week 7 but riding high on the hog after beating rival Baltimore last week on the road 33-30 in overtime. The Browns were superb on offense last week posting 505 total yards including 422 thru the air behind quarterback Josh McCown. The Browns offense has been a pleasant surprise this season so far as they have scored 60 points the last two weeks and have been able to move the ball consistently. They’ll need to bring their “A” game this week against a Denver team that brings in the NFL’s best defense. The Broncos have been flat out dominant so far defensively as they’ve held their five opponets thus far to 325 total yards or less and have only allowed 79 points total thru their first five games. Having said that, they’ve needed to be that dominant because Peyton Manning has really struggled so far and the Denver offense has been one of the worst in the league. This week the Browns have a real shot at making some noise in the NFL and getting to .500 as McCown is on fire and should be able to do enough to keep the Browns in the game all day Sunday and steal the win outright. Denver is 5-0 overall but have not been blowing teams out due to an inconsistent offense and that should be their down fall this Sunday. Take the points.
