Dallas +1.5 over Tampa Bay – The Dallas Cowboys are 2-6 overall including 0-6 since their pro bowl quarterback Tony Romo went down with an injury. However, this week presents their best chance to get back into the win column as they will be taking on the 3-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Dallas is listed as a +1.5 point underdog for this game but we like them to not only cover but win outright against a Tampa Bay team that isn’t very good. Dallas’s offense has really struggled to put up points since Romo went down but they should be able to get enough points on the board this week against Tampa Bay’s 29th ranked scoring defense. Dallas is in a fight for it’s life to stay in the NFC East Division race and probably can only afford one more loss at most if it wants to win the division and get back into the NFC playoffs this year. This is a must win game for Dallas and we feel they are the better overall team despite being without Romo for one more week. Take the points and look for Dallas to snap a 6 game skid.

Tennessee +5.5 over Carolina – The Carolina Panthers enter this week’s game 8-0 overall and 6-2 against the spread as they are just one of three teams along with Cincinnati and New England still unbeaten in the NFL. However, this is a trap game for Carolina and one they need to be careful about as Tennessee is coming off of a momentum building 34-28 win on the road at New Orleans in their first game since head coach Ken Whisenhunt was giving the pink slip after a 1-6 start. Carolina has played at home the last 3 weeks and hasn’t been on the road since October 18th when it won in the last minute at Seattle. Carolina is an outstanding team and is much better than Tennessee but this is the NFL and it’s not easy to win and cover the spread every week and especially on the road against a team you are not familiar playing against as a -5.5 point favorite. Tennessee is 0-4 at home this season but have lost three of those game by 3 points or less against decent teams in the Colts, Bills and Falcons. We look for Tennessee to give Carolina a game this Sunday and to possibly win outright but at least keep it within the number. Take Tennessee at +5.5 on the spread.

Oakland -3 over Minnesota – Head coach Jack Del Rio has his Oakland Raiders playing solid football week in and week out for the first time in a long time this season in his first year on the job. The Raiders are 4-4 overall coming into this week 10 game at home against the 6-2 Minnesota Vikings and looking to stay alive in the AFC West Division race and also near the top of the AFC Wildcard race. The Raiders are getting outstanding play from 2nd year quarterback Derek Carr and look like they have finally solved the quarterback position for the first time since Rich Gannon was back there slinging it for the Silver and Black. We like the Raiders a lot this week as a -3 point home favorite against a very good Vikings team that is 7-1 against the spread and coming off of a hard fought 21-18 home win in overtime against St Louis. The Raiders lost last week 38-35 at Pittsburgh but will have a raucous home crowd behind them this week and Minnesota is only 2-2 on the road this season with losses to San Francisco and Denver. Lay the points with Oakland this Sunday as they will prove they are for real and get a signature win at home against a Minnesota team due for a let down.
