2015 NFL Picks & Predictions Week 1 – Betting Odds & 3 Free NFL Picks for Week 1 NFL Football
Sunday, September 13th, 2015
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 over Buffalo Bills – New Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has brought his cocky attitude and extraordinary confidence to upstate New York and that has brough a lot of excitement and confidence to long suffering Bills fans. However, the reality is the Bills still have nobody of quality to play quarterback and it’s extremely hard to beat the upper echelon elite quarterbacks in the NFL when you can’t substain offensive drives to keep those guys off the field. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is a top 5 NFL quarterback and he’ll be given some trouble by an outstanding Bills defense on Sunday but eventually he’ll find his way to the end zone and get the Colts out in front. We have zero confidence in Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor to deliver when it counts against a Colts team that is a legit Super Bowl contender. Play the Colts -2.5 Sunday to win.
Miami Dolphins -3.5 over Washington Redskins In our opinion, the Miami Dolphins are one of the most underrated teams in the NFL this season as many don’t even feel they’ll make the playoffs never mind be a contender to win the AFC East and the AFC Conference to get to Super Bowl 50. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill continues to improve and is well on his way to becoming a true Top 10 NFL quarterback and the addition of all pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to an already solid Dolphins defense should boost Miami’s already solid defensive unit into arguably a Top 5 defense in the league. The Redskins on the other hand are a complete mess on and off the field. RG III lost the starting quarterback job in favor of Kirk Cousins but we’ve already seen enough of Cousins over the past few years to know he is a backup at best and not starter material. Look for the Dolphins to make an impressive statement in week 1 with a double digit win at Washington. Play Miami -3.5 points on the spread.
Arizona Cardinals -2.5 over New Orleans Saints – Head coach Bruce Arians is one of the best coaches in the league and has found a way to win 10 and 11 games the past two seasons with Arizona despite playing in a super tough division and having to overcome a season ending injury to quarterback Carson Palmer last season. Arizona has high hopes of being able to wrestle the NFC West division title away from Seattle this season and can’t afford to lose many home games, if any, if it wants to accomplish that monumental task. Opening up against a New Orleans team that was a dreadful 31st in the NFL last season in total defense should be a great way to welcome Palmer back into the starting lineup and get the Cards off to a flying start to the 2015 season. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is one of the best in the business but he can only do so much with a defense that still has far too many holes and an offense that will be without Jimmy Graham this season. Play Arizona -2.5 points on Sunday.
