Oakland +4.5 and Oakland UNDER 44.5 – Oakland Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio gets a crack at the team he was the defensive coordinator for last year when his Raiders host the Denver Broncos today. The Raiders are 2-2 overall after losing a tough one last week at Chicago 22-20 and will be trying to beat the Broncos for the first time since September 12th, 2011. The Raiders have shown improvement under Del Rio this season and should have a great shot at upsetting the 4-0 Broncos at home today. Peyton Manning’s offense has been riding the coat tails of the Denver defense so far this season as the Broncos defense is arguably the best in the league so far. However, the Broncos have caught some breaks in going 4-0 thus far and very easily could be 2-2 had they not got some breaks against Baltimore and Kansas City. Look for the Raiders to keep Manning and the Broncos in check all game long on Sunday and for this game to be a low scoring affair with the winner only winning by a field goal. Take the points and play the under straight up or in a parlay.
New England and Dallas over 50.5 points – New England quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick have had an extra week to prepare for the Dallas Cowboys and that usually means big trouble for their opponent. The spread on this game has New England favored by -9 points but the number we really love is the total at over/under 50.5 points. New England’s offense is healthy except for the injury to wide out Brandon LaFell and they will be able to feast big time on a Dallas secondary that is mediocre at best. The Cowboys will have defensive end standout Greg Hardy making his Cowboys debut today but he hasn’t played any regular season football in over a year and his conditioning won’t be able to last a full 60 minutes against New England’s fast paced offense. Expect New England to put up 40 plus points today and the Cowboys should also be able to move the ball and score against a suspect New England secondary. Play the OVER.
