Miami Heat at Golden State Warriors 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions

Miami Heat at Golden State Warriors 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions:  MVP LeBron James will lead the Miami Heat on their 3rd straight road game to the Oracle Arena to take on the Golden State Warriors on Friday night at 10:30 PM ET on ESPN.  The Warriors come to the game at 8-14 good for 3rd in the Pacific while the Heat are at 15-8 good for 2nd in the Southeast and are on a 6 game winning streak including 2 in a row on the road.  Veteran center Zydrunas Ilgauskas sums things up for the team.  “We’re playing better basketball,” center Ilgauskas said. “If you look at the games, it’s obvious. But we still have a ways to go.”  “The biggest thing is rebounding,” Ilgauskas said. “We’re winning all the rebounding battles game after game after game. Before we were not. We have the same guys, but we’re doing it with more effort, doing it collectively.”  I agree, Bosh may score less with Miami but he should have a falloff in boards, that just less effort.  I see the heat standing and waiting for the ball on offense instead of moving without it or getting in position for a missed shot.  It’s fundamental basketball that they need to improve on to keep winning.  The odds makers at JustBET have the Miami Heat a -9 point favorite on the road against the Golden State Warriors.

The Heat are coming off a big road win 111-98 over the Utah Jazz on the road to move to 10-13 ATS for the season.  LeBron James led the scoring with 33 points and also had 9 assists and 7 boards, while teammate Dwayne Wade poured in 28 points, with 4 dimes and boards.  The big guys Chris Bosh scored 14 with 9 rebounds while old Z scored 16 with 10 rebounds.  Vegas odds makers have the Miami Heat +220 to win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.

The Warriors have lost 5 in a row lastly 111-94 at the San Antonio Spurs moving to 11-11 ATS for the season.  Reggie Williams came off the bench to score 31 point including 8 threes with 2 boards and dimes.  Starter Monta Ellis dropped in 19 with 3 boards and 6 assist and second leading scorer on the team Stephon Curry was scoreless and left with an ankle injury and is questionable for this game.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 203 points combined of Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors.

I predict the Heat win on the road!
