Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions

Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards 2010 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions:  All Star shooting guard Kobe Bryant will lead the defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers on the road to the Verizon Center to take on the Washington Wizards Tuesday night at 7:00 PM ET.  The Lakers started the season on fire then hit a little rough patch with a 4 game slide but now have won 4 of 5 but unimpressively against mediocre to poor teams to get to 17-7 1st place in the Pacific.  The Wizards have struggled having lost 4 in a row including a trip to the Lakers last week to fall to 6-16 5th in the Southeast and may be without their exciting rookie point guard again tonight.  John Wall has already missed 7 of the Wizards 22 games and is questionable for tonight.  The lackluster play of the Lakers has left them trailing in the 4th quarter in 7 of their last 9 games.  “We have to muster up the energy and muster up the motivation to play every night,” said Bryant, who scored 14 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter against the Nets. “I’m (annoyed) about it. We’re not doing a good job of doing it.”  The odds makers at Bodog have the Los Angeles Lakers a -10 1/2 point favorite on the road against the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers are coming off a win 99-92 on the road over the New Jersey Nets to move to 10-14 ATS for the season.  Kobe Bryant poured in 32 points, 9 in the 4th quarter, as well 4 rebounds and 6 assists in 35 minutes of play.  Forward Lamar Odom chipped in 22 points and 7 boards while center Pau Gasol scored 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  LA Lakers are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games when playing Washington.  Vegas odds makers have the Los Angeles Lakers +175 to win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.

The Wizards lost their most recent game at home 101-95 over the red hot New York Knicks moving to 9-13 ATS for the season only a game worse than the Lakers.  Guard Gilbert Arenas scored 20 points with 6 assists and 3 boards to lead the scoring while JaVale McGee chipped in 10 points and pulled down 10 boards.  The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Washington’s last 6 games when playing at home against LA Lakers.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 203 1/2 points combined of the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards.

I predict a Laker victory on the road!
