Postponing Eagle/Viking Game- What in Vince Lombardi’s name was the NFL thinking postponing that game last night? Good lord, its just one more example of how soft our country is becoming…. Football is a game to be played in the elements…if you are worried about getting there or back home…DON’T FREAKING GO! Plus, it was just SNOW…and don’t give me this public safety BS either…People in Philly never drove in snow before?? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this Roger Goodell is going to ruin this league before he’s done….
Vick vs. Brady for MVP – Outside of Philly fans, Patriot haters, Dog Fighters or the Tool in the White House, how can anyone in their right mind pick Vick over Brady for MVP? Vick has had a super year and is playing better than he did in Atlanta, but ask yourself which QB you’d rather have in a big game? Brady is on a completely different level…end of story.
Singletary out in San Francisco – The tough guy act finally got put out of its misery out by the bay. It might have worked if the guy knew how to COACH! You can motivate all you want, but if you don’t know how to attack another team or make adjustments, your players won’t have any faith in you.
Carolina on the Clock – The toothless Panthers have locked up the first pick and have to hope Andrew Luck will come out. If not, who does this team pick? Probably doesn’t matter since the owner is cheap and won’t want to pay the top pick plus the GM is hopelessly over his skis, so if they want to trade down, they’ll get fleeced….
Christmas Day Games in NBA – I don’t mind the Christmas Day games at all, but can we please ban the ugly uni’s and shoes at least??? …and let’s not put LeFraud and company in the Finals just yet. That win probably said more about the state of the Lakers than the Heat… perhaps the Fakers are not hungry and into regular season games this year similar to last year’s Celtic team. …and speaking of the Celtic’s, it was not surprising they lost in Orlando as they were on fumes lately and winning some games at the end. They are banged up and they are really missing Rondo at this point. They’ll be okay and when at full health, they are the best in East and maybe the league as well.
