No matter if they entice Rubio to come to America next year or if they in fact get the first selection, the Timberwolves and team personnel need to find a way to get this young crop to perform together.
The Denver Nuggets showed last Sunday that they may finally have the pieces in order to knock off the Lakers if they were to ever meet in the playoffs. They contained Kobe Bryant and limited the long shot range of the Lakers’ on way to victory in L.A. last Sunday afternoon. Sitting in the 5 spot in the west, the Denver Nuggets are a legitimate force entering the playoffs and they will go deep if they can keep up the solid play they have been exhibiting as of late. The acquisitions from New York, Felton and Gallinari, have performed exceptionally and have made there transition into new colors seamlessly. Their loss to Oklahoma City yesterday however is cause for concern and they will need to correct their interior defense before the playoffs commence. If the playoffs started today the Nuggets would be playing the Thunder in the first round. They had no answer for Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant as he disrupted the interior defense of the Nuggets all night long.
