2019 Arizona 200 @ ISM Raceway Odds & Predictions – Favorites & Sleepers: The 2019 NASCAR XFINITY Series continues its West Coast swing this weekend with a trip to ISM Raceway. The low-banked, tri-oval is probably still known as Phoenix by most race fans, but whatever you call the track, it poses a much different challenge for drivers than the intermediate ovals we have visited the last two weeks.
As if the track wasn’t challenging enough, the series regulars also have Kyle Busch to deal with. Since Saturday’s Arizona 200 is a companion event with the Monster Energy Cup Series, the all-time leader in XFINITY wins is trying to add to his record.

The Favorites
Kyle Busch (5/7)
Busch is always a favorite when he enters XFINITY races, but he’s been dominant at Phoenix, even by his standards. He has finished third or better in eight straight starts, winning six times and leading more than 140 laps six times. Busch has led more than 2,000 laps here overall, winning 10 times in 22 starts. You won’t win a lot of money, but he is by far your best bet to win this weekend.
Christopher Bell (7/2)
He’s made three starts at Phoenix in the XFINITY Series, and he’s finished in the top five in all three of them. More importantly, Bell led 94 laps and picked up the win at Phoenix last fall after having to start back in 38th. He’s already got one win under his belt in 2019, and he gave Kyle Busch all he could handle last weekend at Las Vegas. If you are fading Busch, Bell is your best alternative.
Value Bets
Justin Allgaier (7/1)
He’s been one of the best in the business at Phoenix, logging four top-five finishes in six starts since joining JR Motorsports. Allgaier has one win during that stretch, and he has led at least 69 laps in three of the last four races here, including both races last season. He hasn’t shown the same speed as the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers just yet in 2019, but Phoenix could change that.

Tyler Reddick (10/1)
The defending series champ has started strong in 2019, leading laps and putting himself in the mix for a win at Atlanta and Las Vegas. His numbers at Phoenix have been trending in the right direction, and he picked up a pair of top-10s here last year, including a sixth-place run last fall. If Busch or Bell slips up, Reddick should be poised to pounce.
Brandon Jones (25/1)
His numbers at Phoenix haven’t been great up to this point, but Jones has looked like a different driver in 2019. Had he not been wrecked in the closing laps at Las Vegas last weekend, he’d have three straight top-five finishes to open the year. He finally appears to be taking advantage of the elite equipment he has at his disposal, and a win could be on the horizon.
Noah Gragson (50/1)
After a good but not great performance at Atlanta, Gragson showed his upside with a third-place run at Las Vegas. He now has five top-10 finishes and two top-three finishes in just six XFINITY starts, and the highly-touted prospect looks poised to win sooner rather than later. It’s also worth noting that Gragson finished second at Richmond last year in his series debut, and Richmond is probably the track closest to ISM.
Sleeper Special
Ryan Sieg (300/1)
Sieg talked in the offseason about how excited he was for 2019 because of the upgrades he and his team had made. Well, it looks like he was right to be excited. Sieg has followed up an 11th-place run at Atlanta with a sixth-place finish at Las Vegas, and he suddenly looks like a weekly top-10 threat after being a mid-pack driver the last couple of years. Sieg has never had a better chance to pull off a surprise win.
