2015 Toyota Owners 400 Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – The Favorites and Contenders to Win at Richmond International Raceway
The Favorites
He has led at least 100 laps in three straight races at Richmond, and Brad Keselowski has actually led 417 more laps than any other driver during the stretch. In two starts at the track last season, he finished fourth and first, and in the fall race, he led an incredible 383 of the 400 laps on his way to the win.
Richmond has always been one of Kevin Harvick’s best tracks, and he is a three-time winner at RIR for his career with two wins coming since 2011. Meanwhile, his 8.7 average finish at the track since 2005 is the best of any driver in the field this weekend. Throw in the fact that Harvick has been the best driver in the series in 2015, and he is a safe bet to be in the hunt for the win this weekend.
Although he has not won at Richmond in a while, Jeff Gordon has been close to returning to victory lane on numerous occasions lately. In fact, he finished second in both races at the track last year. Gordon has three runner-up finishes over the last five races at RIR, and during the same stretch, his 5.0 average finish is the best in the series and his 224 laps led are the second most of any driver.

The Contenders
After spending the early part of his career delivering mixed results at Richmond, Joey Logano has been thriving at the track since joining Team Penske. Not only is he the defending winner of this weekend’s race, but he has finished sixth or better in three of his four starts with the organization. Logano is will on his way to becoming one of the power players at RIR.
His luck hasn’t been great at Richmond recently, but Denny Hamlin still ranks as one of the top drivers in the series at his home-state track. In fact, he owns the top driver rating at Richmond, and he has six finishes of third or better, including two wins, in 17 starts. To top it off, Hamlin is the only driver to have led more than 1,000 laps at Richmond since the start of the 2005 season.
Although he is known more for his consistency than dominating races, Clint Bowyer has been one of the best in the business at Richmond. In addition to his two wins at the track, Bowyer also owns the fourth best driver rating. Meanwhile, Bowyer is one of just two drivers with three finishes of third or better in the last five races at the track.
A late wreck ruined his chances at a potential win last weekend at Bristol, but Carl Edwards could seal the deal as early as this weekend at Richmond. After all, his eight top-10s in the last 10 races at the track are the most in the series, and over the same span, Edwards has logged four top-five finishes, including a win in 2013.
He has been a force since returning from suspension, and despite missing three races, Kurt Busch ranks in the top five in both fastest laps run and laps led in 2015. This weekend, he will take his momentum to a Richmond track where he is a former winner and has finished inside the top 10 in three of his last four starts.
