2015-Subway-Firecracker-250-Odds-Free-Picks-and-Predictions2015 Subway Firecracker 250 Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – Favorites and Contenders: For the second time this season, the Xfinity Series will visit Daytona International Speedway as part of a companion event with the Sprint Cup Series. Traditionally, the summer race doesn’t feature as many big names pulling double duty, but there are a handful of Cup drivers that will be in the field for Saturday night’s Subway Firecracker 250. Of course, Daytona is one of the most unpredictable tracks on the schedule, and although the big names have won plenty of races, the 2.5-mile superspeedway has also been known to produce its share of surprise winners. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the frontrunners and some other potential contenders for this weekend’s Xfinity Series race at Daytona.

The Favorites

He has been able to survive the chaos at Daytona on a consistent basis, and Joey Logano’s 8.2 average finish at the track in the Xfinity Series is the best in the field among drivers that have made more than five starts. Overall, he has seven top-10s in 10 starts at Daytona, and four of his top-five finishes have come in the July race, including a win.

After struggling at Daytona early in his career, Kasey Kahne has been a force at the track in the Xfinity Series in recent years. Not only is he the defending winner of this weekend’s race, but has also finished 11th or better in six of his last seven starts at the track.

Although he no longer drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Cup Series, David Ragan will get a chance to drive for the organization in this weekend’s Xfinity Series event, and he should make some real noise. After all, he is regarded as one of the better restrictor plate racers at the Cup level, logging wins at both Daytona and Talladega. Not to mention the fact that Ragan has finished in the top 10 in four of his last six Xfinity Series starts at Daytona.

The Contenders

No matter what series he drives in, Austin Dillon seems to find a way to the front at the restrictor plate tracks. In the Xfinity Series alone, Dillon has managed four top-five finishes in five starts at Daytona, including a fourth-place finish at the track earlier this year when he also sat on the pole.

He enters Saturday’s race as the point leader, and Chris Buescher could definitely be in the hunt for his third win of the season this weekend. After all, he has been a stud at the restrictor plate tracks in 2015, finishing second at Daytona in February and sixth and Talladega in July. Overall, he owns a 7.0 average finish at Daytona.

Since crashing in his Daytona debut, Ty Dillon has rebounded to be a consistent contender at the chaotic 2.5-mile track. He has finished 11-th or better in three consecutive starts, compiling a 7.0 average finish in the process. Dillon is also coming off a career-best third-place finish at Daytona earlier this year.

While he was involved in late wrecks at both restrictor plate events so far this season, Erik Jones still deserves plenty of attention this weekend. The rising youngster will be driving the powerhouse No. 54 machine for Joe Gibbs Racing, and in 13 starts for the JGR organization this season in the Xfinity Series, Jones has managed seven top-five finishes, including two wins.

The Sleeper

Although Ryan Reed has managed just a single top-10 finish this season, it came in dramatic fashion when he won the season opener at Daytona. Based on his overall numbers, Reed’s chances of a season sweep would seem slim, but he has actually been solid at Daytona throughout his young career. In three starts, he has a 7.7 average finish at the track, and he has finished fourth and first in his last two starts.
