2015 New Hampshire 301 Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – Favorites and Contenders: The Sprint Cup Series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, and while the track is nicknamed the “Magic Mile,” the flat, 1.0-mile oval can be a nightmare for drivers and crew chiefs. The tight, sweeping corners make passing difficult and take a toll on brakes, and because track position is so crucial, teams are constantly gambling on tire and fuel strategy to try to steal a victory. The weather has been known to factor into the outcome, as well, and there have been plenty of races cut short by rain and plenty where drivers have been burned waiting for rain that never came. With that in mind, here is a closer look at the drivers with the best chance of winning Sunday’s New Hampshire 301.
2015 New Hampshire 301 Odds, Free Picks & Predictions: Favorites and Contenders
The Favorites
He has been on a roll at New Hampshire, and Brad Keselowski has outscored the next closest driver by 35 driver points over the last seven races. During the stretch, he finished 11th or better in all seven races and has finished seventh or better three times. Keselowski won at New Hampshire last summer, leading a race-high 138 laps in the process, and he led 78 more laps in the fall race.
In the seven races since returning from injury, Kyle Busch has already notched two wins. He could snag another this weekend at New Hampshire where he has cracked the top 10 in each of the last four races. More importantly, Busch has finished second three separate times during the stretch, and he ranks third in laps led.
Few drivers have been as consistent as New Hampshire as Jimmie Johnson. Over the last 16 races, he has logged 13 top-10 finishes, including five in his last six starts. In fact, Johnson has finished sixth or better in four of his last five starts at the flat track, and for his career, he is a three-time winner.
Over the last three seasons, no driver has led more laps at New Hampshire than Denny Hamlin. Meanwhile, his 10.5 average finish at the track is the second best in the series, and in 18 starts, he has 11 top-10 finishes. Hamlin is also a two-time winner at New Hampshire, and he has finished third or better six times.

The Contenders
After posting mediocre results at New Hampshire for much of his career, Matt Kenseth has taken his performance to a new level since joining Joe Gibbs Racing. In four starts with the organization, he has three top-10s and has led the second most laps of any driver during the stretch. He also has a pair of top-five finishes in his last three starts, including a win.
Thanks to savvy fuel strategy, Joey Logano was able to win at New Hampshire in just his second start. He has been hit and miss at the track since, but he was impressive on his way to his second-career victory at the track last fall. Logano has proven he can get the job done at New Hampshire with both speed and pit strategy.
New Hampshire has always been one of Clint Bowyer’s best tracks. Not only is he a two-time winner at the 1.0-mile oval, but he ranks second in fastest laps run since 2005. Since joining Michael Waltrip Racing in 2012, Bowyer has five top-15 finishes, including three finishes of sixth or better.
Although he has been inconsistent at New Hampshire, there is no denying the upside of Kurt Busch. After all, he is a three-time winner at New Hampshire, and he has finished third or better on seven occasions. Busch has been one of the best drivers in the series all year, and he has shown he knows how to seal the deal at New Hampshire.
