2015 Auto Club 400 Odds, Free Picks & Predictions: Kevin Harvick the 7/2 Favorite to Win: The West Coast swing that helps kick off each Sprint Cup season wraps up this weekend when the series visits Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The 2.0-mile track will host Sunday’s Auto Club 500, and while other than having slightly less banking, Auto Club Speedway is basically a mirror image of the other 2.0-mile on the schedule, Michigan International Speedway. Not surprisingly, drivers that perform well at Michigan also tend to run well at Auto Club. With that in mind, it can be helpful to consider past results at both tracks when you are trying to determine a potential winner. Here is a closer look at a few drivers that stand out heading into Sunday’s race.

The Favorites
He has won two in a row heading into Sunday’s race, and Kevin Harvick has finished either first or second in seven races in a row dating back to last season. In addition to being the class of the field so far in 2015, Harvick has also scored the most points of any driver at 2.0-mile tracks over the past three seasons.
California native Jimmie Johnson has given his home-state fans plenty to cheer about over the years. His 6.7 average finish at Auto Club Speedway leads all drivers, and in 20 starts, he has amassed an incredible 12 finishes of third or better, including a series-leading five victories.
Not only has Matt Kenseth been one of the most consistent performers at Auto Club Speedway, but he has also shown he knows how to seal the deal at the track. Over the last 20 races, his 9.8 average finish at the track ranks third in the series, and during the same stretch, he has finished seventh or better 13 times. More importantly, Kenseth is a three-time winner at Auto Club.
The Contenders
He has quietly been on a tear at Auto Club Speedway lately, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. has posted a 5.3 average finish in his last three starts at the track, logging a pair of top-three finishes during the same stretch. In fact, Junior has been dialed in at 2.0-mile tracks in general, scoring the third most points of any driver since 2012.

Although he has only made one Cup start at the track, Kyle Larson has shown quite an affinity for the 2.0-mile oval. He finished second in his track debut last year, and he also won at Auto Club in the Xfinity Series in just his second start. Don’t be surprised if Larson logs his first Cup win this weekend.
Since joining Team Penske in 2013, Joey Logano has become a force at the 2.0-mile tracks. He finished a career-best third at Auto Club Speedway in 2013, and no driver has led more laps at 2.0-mile tracks over the past two years. It is only a matter of time before Logano heads to victory lane at Auto Club.
Few drivers have been able to match Carl Edwards’ consistency at Auto Club Speedway. His 8.5 average finish at the track ranks second among all drivers, and in 17 starts, he has notched 14 top-10 finishes, including four straight. More importantly, Edwards has 12 finishes of sixth or better at ACS, including a win. He is one of the safest bets to be in the mix this weekend.
While his last win at the track came in 2003, Kurt Busch has been inching closer to another trip to victory lane recently. He has posted six top-10s in his last eight starts at Auto Club, and he has finished in the top five in back-to-back starts at the track. This weekend, he will start from the pole.
