2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Odds, Predictions, Betting Tips and Free Picks – Favorites and Lines to Win Quaker State 400: NASCAR betting odds to win the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 this Sunday, July 17th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire have been posted at all the major Las Vegas and best online sportsbooks and the online bookies with Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson having been installed as the +550 favorites to win the 2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway has gained fame over the years for hosting the playoff opener since the 2004 season. However, the 1.0-mile track also hosts a summer race that has been equally exciting. From fuel mileage to bump and runs to rain-shortened affairs, NHMS’ summer race has had its share of memorable moments.
Last summer, it was Jimmie Johnson stealing a win in the closing laps in one of those aforementioned memorable finishes. Kasey Kahne and Jeff Burton dominated most of the race, but an engine issue ended Kahne’s afternoon and pit road problems derailed Burton. Johnson became the surprise leader, but he was knocked out of the top spot by Kurt Busch. However, Johnson returned the favor with two laps to go to reclaim the lead and secure the victory.
In the fall event, Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer were the class of the field. As the white flag flew, it appeared Stewart was going to win his third career race at the track and put himself in position to win the title. However, his tank ran dry heading into the Turn 1, handing the win to Bowyer. The two drivers combined to lead 277 of the 301 laps in a race that saw several big names spin.
The Favorites – 2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Lines and Odds
He has been the model of consistency at New Hampshire, and Denny Hamlin has yet to finish outside the top 15 in 10 career starts at the track. He has also finished inside the top 10 in seven of his appearances, including a trip to Victory Lane. Hamlin has finished second in two of his last three starts at NHMS, and he should be one of the top threats Sunday.
Jeff Gordon is riding an impressive streak of 11 straight top-15 finishes at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Although he hasn’t won a race during the stretch, he has finished sixth or better six times, including three second-place efforts. Gordon finished fourth and sixth at NHMS in 2010, and it is only a matter of time before he breaks through with a win.
With seven top-10 finishes in his last eight New Hampshire starts, Jimmie Johnson is a safe bet to be in the mix Sunday. Not to mention the fact that he is the defending winner of this weekend’s event and a three-time track winner overall. Johnson has finished outside the top 15 only twice in 18 career starts at NHMS, and he is one of only two active drivers that average a top-10 finish at the track.
The Dark Horses – 2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Betting Odds and Tips
In his last six starts at New Hampshire, Kurt Busch has compiled an impressive 5.3 average finish, finishing sixth or better five times. He is also a three-time winner at the 1.0-mile track and brings plenty of momentum into Sunday’s race. Busch has been a consistent threat to win over the past month, and that trend should continue this weekend at NHMS.
His lone win at the track came in the fall of 2006, but Kevin Harvick looked an awful lot like a driver ready to return to Victory Lane in 2010. He finished fifth in both races at New Hampshire, and he already has a flat track win in 2011. Harvick conquered Martinsville in April, and NHMS has been called Martinsville on steroids. He could pick up his fourth win of the year this weekend.
Sleepers Specials – 2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Odds and Free Picks
Despite struggling at New Hampshire for most of his career, A.J. Allmendinger turned a corner last season. He finished 10th and 12th in his two starts at the track in 2010, and another year of experience could lead to even better results this weekend. Allmendinger’s skills as a road racer translate well to flat tracks, and he should be comfortable handling the tight turns at NHMS.
He nearly won last weekend’s race, and David Reutimann should have plenty of confidence for the trip to New Hampshire. He has finished in the top 15 in five straight starts at the track, including a seventh-place run last fall. Reutimann appears to have the “Magic Mile” figured out, and he could surprise this weekend.
Big Names to Avoid – 2011 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Odds and Predictions
He is having a solid season and even has a couple of wins, but Matt Kenseth has had his issues at New Hampshire lately. He has finished outside the top 15 in his last six starts at the track, including four finishes outside the top 20. This is probably going to be a damage control weekend for the No. 17 bunch.
Carl Edwards has been of the steadiest performers in 2011, but he might have trouble delivering a top-notch finish Sunday. He has just two top-10 finishes in 13 starts at the track, and has just one top-10 in his last nine starts at New Hampshire. Edwards has finished outside the top 15 in three of his last four starts, and a win seems very unlikely.
