2011 Kansas Lottery 300 Odds, Free Picks and Predictions – Favorites to Win and Drivers to Watch

2011 Kansas Lottery 300 Odds, Predictions, Betting Tips and Free Picks – Favorites and Lines to Win the Kansas Lottery 300: With the Chase in full swing in the Cup Series, the Nationwide title fight gets pushed to the backburner. Of course, the continued success of Roush Fenway Racing is starting to turn the championship race into a runaway. Carl Edwards continues to pile up wins, and his teammate Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has extended his lead to more than 20 points. If the trend continues this weekend at Kansas and beyond, Edwards could end up leading the series in wins, and Stenhouse Jr. could be crowned champ.

Last year, Joey Logano came on late to overtake three of the best drivers in the Nationwide Series and win his second consecutive race at Kansas. Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick combined to lead 147 of the 200 laps, including a race-high 65 from Busch. However, Logano was able to get to the front in the closing laps, holding off all three big names to take the checkered flag. Cup drivers swept the top-five spots.

The Favorites – 2011 Kansas Lottery 300 Odds, Predictions and Free Picks

He had immediate success at Kansas, and Joey Logano brings an impressive resume at the track into this weekend’s race. He finished ninth in his track debut and has won the last two races. Logano will try for a Kansas three-peat this weekend, and until someone proves they can beat him, he has to be considered the favorite.

In his last seven starts at Kansas, Kevin Harvick has finished inside the top 15. More importantly, he has finished fourth or better five times during the stretch, including in his last two starts at the track. Harvick has just one win at Kansas, but he always seems to be a factor near the front of the field.

Although he has yet to win at Kansas, Brad Keselowski has been inching closer and closer with each start at the track. His last three finishes have been sixth, third and second, and if the trend continues he will end up in Victory Lane this weekend. Keselowski dominated at Chicagoland a few weeks ago, and Kansas has the same 1.5-mile layout.

The Dark Horses – 2011 Kansas Lottery 300 Lines, Preview and Expert Picks

He has finished inside the top 10 in both of his starts at Kansas, and Justin Allgaier has a 6.5 average finish in his two starts. With questions surrounding the future of his Turner Motorsports team, Allgaier could be auditioning for a job next season. Kansas should be a track where he can show off his talent.

It is still too early to celebrate a title, but Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is starting to put some distance between himself and the rest of the field, and the gap could continue to grow this weekend. His first career start at Kansas came last season, and he finished an impressive sixth. A top-five effort is certainly a possibility his second time around.

He is still searching for a Nationwide win in 2011, but Paul Menard has had plenty of solid runs this season. One of those top-10 efforts came at Kansas, giving him three straight finishes of 10th or better at the track. Menard always seems to be running close to the front, and with a lucky break or the right strategy, he could steal a win.

Although he doesn’t have a lot of experience, Ryan Truex has been solid in limited action this season. More importantly, he has been a consistent top-15 driver since teaming up with Joe Gibbs Racing. Truex finished 15th  in his Kansas debut last year, and he could be in for bigger and better things  this weekend when he drives the No. 20 Toyota.

Big Names to Avoid – 2011 Kansas Lottery 300 Betting Odds, Predictions and Free NASCAR Picks

Despite being one of two best drivers in the Nationwide Series all season, Carl Edwards could struggle this weekend. He has never won a race at Kansas, and he has just a single top-five finish in six career starts. Edwards has finished outside the top 10 in half of his starts at the track, and he just doesn’t put up his typical elite results at Kansas.

The surprising decision by Turner Motorsports to release Reed Sorenson has put Brian Vickers behind the wheel this weekend at Kansas. However, the track has been one of his worst at the Nationwide level. Vickers has just one top-10 finish in four starts at Kansas, finishing outside the top 25 three times.
