He earned a no decision in his last start against the Yankees, but bailed his club out of many innings where runs accumulation were a threat. If he and Ricky Romero can form a formidable duo at the top of the pitching rotation then the Jays might be players at the trading deadline to bring in another stud on the mound. With Jose Bautista rekindling his swing for the fences and Adam Lind emerging, the sky is the limit for this fearless Jays club.

The Yankees will look to even the series this afternoon after an awful outing at the plate last night. They were baffled for 6 innings by Ricky Romero and his moving breaking ball, they managed to score 2 runs on the Jays ace. They will send ex-Jay A.J. Burnett to the mound this afternoon, he has proven that he still has what it takes to pitch in this league, but he is also showing that his inconsistent ways are still a part of him. Alex Rodriguez will look to get back on track this afternoon, he started off the season on fire but has since simmered down after taking a few games off with a shoulder injury. A-Rod has a new approach to the game and his work ethic has certainly improved from seasons’ of past, he will be leaned on heavily this year to get this club back into the World Series.
