NSAwins.com has posted the newly released Week 3 College Football AP Top 25 Poll(Released 9/13/09) and the poll welcomes back the Michigan Wolverines for the 1st time since the end of the 2007 season. Michigan was unranked all of last season, but earned the #25 spot in this week’s AP Poll Top 25 after defeating #18 ranked Notre Dame at home on saturday 38-34. The loss sent Notre Dame out of the rankings for the 1st time this season. As for the top of this week’s poll, things remain unchanged. Florida retains it’s #1 ranking in this week’s poll garnering 56 of the 60 1st place votes, while #2 Texas, #3 USC, and #4 Alabama all follow like they did last week. The poll does welcome two new teams into the Top 5, however, as Oklahoma St’s loss to Houston dropped the Cowboys from #5 to #16 and both Penn St and Ole Miss have moved up to tie for the #5 ranking in this week’s poll.
