2022 ACC Atlantic Division Prediction
1. Clemson Tigers(-135 odds to win ACC Title) – The Tigers struggled last season by their standards. However, they still had a season most programs would die for as they finished 10-3 overall with a 20-13 win over Iowa State in the Cheez-It Bowl.
Head coach Dabo Swinney and the rabid fanbase have higher expectations than winning the Cheez-It Bowl. They expect to win the ACC Title every season and challenge for the National Championship. The Tigers look like they may have what it takes to do just that this season behind a rejuvenated and hungry roster top to bottom.
Dabo welcomes back 13 starters from last season’s team. The big question mark is at quarterback where the Tigers need better play than they got from DJ Uiagalelei last season. Uiagalelei arrived at Clemson a much ballyhooed 5 star recruit but so far has really not delivered. This is a critical season for him as he needs to make a BIG jump if he wants to stay the starter and if the Tigers want to reach their lofty goals. The good news is freshman Cade Klubnick could be ready to step in if the early reports coming in from Clemson are true.

2022 ACC Coastal Division Prediction
1. Miami-Fl Hurricanes(+550 odds to win ACC Title) – The Hurricanes return 11 starters from last season’s 7-5 team that finished 5-3 and 2nd in the ACC Coastal Division. New Miami-Fl head coach Mario Cristobal looks to get this talented roster to gel and take the next step to get in the ACC Championship Game this season.
Cristobal did a fine job at Oregon but the lure of returning to South Florida to coach his alma mater was too much to pass up. He has a lot of talent to work with on both sides of the ball but will need the defense to be a lot better than they were last season. The defense ranked 82nd in scoring last year allowing 28.2 ppg. They should be a lot better this year though for first year defensive coordinator Kevin Steele.
Offensively, this is where Miami-Fl should shine the brightest this season. They return 7 starters and everyone is high on sophomore quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. Van Dyke tossed 25 touchdowns last season and passed for 2931 yards. Expect him to be even better this season in Cristobal’s offensive system.
