The 15th ranked Wisconsin Badgers come into this week with a 4-1 overall record and 1-4 against the spread. The Badgers have shaken off a disappointing start to win their last two games including a 41-24 win over Nebraska at home last Saturday.

The Badgers entered the 2018 season with high hopes of winning the Big Ten Championship and earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. That is still on the table if they can run the table the rest of the way but the jury is out after seeing them lose 24-21 to a bad BYU team at home on September 15th. However, a big 28-17 road win at Iowa on September 22nd seemed to get them back on track and they are now 2-0 in Big Ten play.

The Wisconsin offense has been posting big yardage numbers as they put up 480.2 yards per game and 6.8 yards per play. The ground game is very impressive as it’s averaging 287 yards per game and 6.2 yards per rush. The defense is nowhere near as dominant as they were last season as they are allowing almost 100 yards per game more this season at 349.8 yards per game and 6 yards per play.

The 12th ranked Michigan Wolverines are now 5-1 overall and 3-3 against the spread this season after beating Maryland 42-21 last Saturday in the Big House. The Wolverines have now won all 3 of their Big Ten games so far the last three weeks over Maryland, at Northwestern and against Nebraska.

The season did not start promising for Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh as he saw his team get outclassed and dominated 24-17 at Notre Dame in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score indicates. The Wolverines are now 33-12 in Harbaugh’s tenure as head coach but they are still looking for their first Big Ten Championship since 2004 and the fans and alumni are getting restless.

Michigan comes into this week with an offense that’s posting 420.7 yards per game and 6.5 yards per play. The unit is well balances with the rushing game posting 199.8 yards per game on 5.1 yards per rush and the passing game is putting up 220.8 yards per game and 12.7 yards per attempt. The Wolverines defense has been absolutely dominant so far this season giving up just 230.5 yards per game and 3.7 yards per play.

Wisconsin won the meeting last season 24-10 in Madison on November 18th. However, we look for Michigan to turn the tables and get their revenge this Saturday night as their defense is lights out and Wisconsin doesn’t have anywhere close to the dominant defense it had for last season’s meeting.
