The 10th ranked Stanford Cardinal opened their 2018 season in impressive fashion with a 31-10 win over San Diego State on August 31st. The Cardinal outscored the Aztecs 31-3 after San Diego State jumped out to the early 7-0 lead. Stanford star running back Bryce Love was held to just 29 yards on 18 carries in the win but Stanford quarterback K.J. Costello picked up the slack by throwing for 332 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Cardinal come into this game seeking revenge over the Trojans after dropping two games last season to their in-state rivals. Stanford lost 42-24 at USC in the regular season on September 9th last year and then dropped the PAC 12 Championship Game on December 1st by a 31-28 score. Stanford has 14 starters back from last year’s team so you can expect extra motivation from them this Saturday night.

The 17th ranked USC Trojans opened their 2018 season with a 43-21 win over UNLV on September 1st. The Trojans racked up 501 yards of total offense in the win but surrendered 405 yards in a lackluster defensive showing that has to give head coach Clay Helton reason for concern this week at Stanford.

The Trojans have 13 starters back from last year’s PAC 12 Championship team and are in solid position to contend for the PAC 12 Title again this season.
