2016 Heisman Trophy Odds & Predictions – Vegas Odds & Favorites to Win 2016 Heisman : The early odds to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy for the upcoming 2016 College Football season have been released by online bookmaker Bovada Sportsbook and at the Las Vegas strip sportsbooks. The early favorite to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy is Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson at +600 odds. The 20 year-old native of Gainesville, Florida was exceptional last season in helping the Tigers win the ACC Championship and reach the College Football Playoff National Championship Game before losing to eventual National Champion Alabama. Watson completed 333 of his 491 passing attempts and threw for 4104 yards and 35 touchdowns against only 13 interceptions in 2015. The junior to be had a 156.3 passing rating and should help Clemson stay near the top of the polls this upcoming season again. Other top 2016 College Football players with the strongest odds to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy according to the odds makers are Christian McCaffrey (RB Stanford) at +700 odds, Leonard Fournette (RB LSU) +850, Baker Mayfield (QB Oklahoma) +1200, Dalvin Cook (RB Florida State) +1400, JT Barrett (QB Ohio State) +1500, Chad Kelly (QB Mississippi) +1650, Josh Rosen (QB UCLA) +2150, Samaje Perine (RB Oklahoma) +2150, Seth Russell (QB Baylor) +2150 and Nick Chubb (RB Georgia) +2150.
2016 Heisman Trophy Odds & Predictions – Favorites to Win 2016 Heisman Trophy
Deshaun Watson (QB Clemson) +600 – Watson is clearly the favorite in our eyes as he is simply a big time talent with both his arm and feet. He is a very mobile quarterback that has proven himself to be a great leader and field general for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Clemson gave Alabama big time fits in last year’s National Championship game primarily because Watson was tough to handle and he should be even better and more explosive this season.
Christian McCaffrey (RB Stanford) +700 The 6-1, 201 pound native of Castle Rock, Colorado was an absolute beast at running back last season for the Stanford Cardinal as he rushed for 2019 yards on 317 rushing attempts. McCaffrey averaged 8 yards per carry and scored 8 touchdowns last season in the PAC 12 and we expect even bigger things from him this season behind a very strong Cardinal offensive line. Look for McCaffrey’s touchdown numbers to double and for him to be a real contender for the Heisman Trophy.
Leonard Fournette (RB LSU) +850 Pound for pound Fournette is probably the most talented player in the nation. The 6-1, 230 pound native of New Orleans, LA is a monster of a talent as he rushed for 1953 yards on 300 attempts last season for Les Miles’ LSU Tigers in the SEC. Fournette ended up with 22 touchdowns and a 6.5 yards per carry average playing against the best competition in the nation in the best conference. The kid is scary good and is our choice as the top Heisman Trophy bet this season.
