The action really heats up in week 2 on Saturday, September 10th as there is a full board on the schedule. There are 22 ranked teams in action on Saturday with all 22 teams facing unranked teams. There are mostly non-conference games on the schedule as there are three conference matchups from the Power 5 FBS conferences with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons traveling to take on the Duke Blue Devils(-5 point favorite) in the ACC, the Kentucky Wildcats going to the Swamp to battle the Florida Gators(-17 point favorite) in the SEC and the South Carolina Gamecocks going on the road for the 2nd straight week in the SEC to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs(-6.5 pont favorite).
Many of the games scheduled for week 2 are shaping up to be absolute mismatches and blowouts especially in the games featuring the Top 25 teams as most are heavy double digit favorites. In fact, only one Top 25 team is not a double digit favorite this week as the 15th ranked TCU Horned Frogs are only -7.5 point home favorites against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The biggest favorite of week 2 college football are the 14th ranked Oklahoma Sooners who are a -46.5 point favorite to take the UL Monroe Warhawks behind the woodshed in Norman, OK after dropping their season opener last week to Houston.
