The 2016 College Football season officially kicks off on Friday, August 26th with a matchup that has the California Golden Bears traveling to Hawaii to take on the Rainbow Warriors. The real action starts in what really is week 1 of the 2016 College Football season when seven games gets underway on Thursday, September 1st. The night consists of six non-conference matchups with only one in-conference game scheduled as the South Carolina Gamecocks travel to Nashville, TN to battle the Vanderbilt Commodores in a SEC matchup. The odds makers have opened Vanderbilt as a -3.5 point favorite with the game total opening at over/under 42.5 points. On Friday, Sepetember 4th the schedule has five games scheduled. The night’s top game has the Stanford Cardinal from the PAC 12 hosting theKansas State Wildcats from the BIG 12 with a kickoff set for 9PM EST. Stanford is listed as a -16 point favorite with the total at over/under 50 points. The other four games on Friday have Georgia State a -3 point home favorite against Ball State, Temple a -17 point chalk at home against Army, Colorado listed as a -8 point home favorite against in-state rival Colorado State and Arkansas State a -3 point home favorite versus Toledo.
