Odds to Win the 2016 Big Ten Football Championship and Big Ten East/West Division Predictions
2016 Big Ten East Division Prediction
1. Ohio State Buckeyes(+100 odds to win Big Ten East) – The Ohio State Buckeyes and head coach Urban Meyer are just one season removed from winning the National Championship but are hungry to get back into the College Football Playoff and reclaim their title as the best college football program in the nation. Meyer only welcomes back 6 returning starters(3 offense, 3 defense) from last year’s 12-1 team that missed winning the Big Ten title but closed the season strong with a 44-28 win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. The Buckeyes will be strong at the most important position on the field as junior quarterback J.T. Barrett returns to lead the Buckeyes offense. Barrett will have to get used to new receivers and backs to keep the Buckeyes offense one of the nation’s most prolific but the Buckeyes talent level is superb thanks to Meyer’s sensational recruiting year in and year out. The Buckeyes defense will be a question mark as they will rely on a bunch of unknown players who will be filling in as starters and playing a ton of snaps for the first time. However, again, the talent level is there and we look for the Buckeyes to be good enough defensively to hang with any team across the nation. 2016 Projection 12-1, 9-0 Big Ten

2016 Big Ten West Division Prediction
1. Nebraska Cornhuskers(+125 odds to win Big Ten) – Head coach Mike Riley is in his 2nd season as the leader of the Nebraska Cornhuskers program and we look for him to make a big jump this season and get the Huskers back into the Big Ten Championship race. Nebraska finished a disappointing 6-7 overall last season but did end on a high note with a 37-29 win over UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl. Riley welcomes back 11 retuning starters from last year’s team with 6 starters on offense and 5 on defense. The offense should be explosive with the return of outstanding senior quarterback Tommy Arstrong and he has top notch weapons in senior running back Terrell Newby(765 yars, 147 rushes, 6 TDs) and senior wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp(918 yards, 65 receptions, 7 TDs). The defense was a weak unit last year and must improve but the Huskers are deep at the linebacking position and welcome back 3 starters in a secondary that can only improve on last season’s dismal 122nd rated unit against the pass. If the defense improves and we believe it will than we expect Nebraska to win the Big Ten West Division.2016 Projection 9-4, 7-2 Big Ten

2016 Big Ten Football Championship Game
Ohio State Buckeyes vs Nebraska Cornhuskers – These two teams meet in Columbus for a regular season meeting on November 5th and the Big Ten Title Game will be a rematch. We look for Ohio State to win the regular season meeting pretty convincingly but look for Nebraska to have a better showing in a rematch on a neutral field and with revenge on their minds. In the end we look for Ohio State’s overall talent and the superior big game coaching of Urban Meyer to be the difference. Ohio State 37 Nebraska 31
