Bowling Green -2.5 over Purdue – The Bowling Green Falcons enter this week’s road contest at Purdue 1-2 overall but have one of the most explosive offenses in the nation. The Falcons have totaled 557, 692 and 579 yards of total offense in it’s first three games and has scored 30, 48 and 41 points against quality teams in Tennessee, Maryland and Memphis. The Falcons are going up against a 1-2 Purdue team that is coming off of a 51-24 home loss to Virginia Tech and gave up 471 total yards defensively. We see no way Purdue hold Bowling Green to under 40 points in this game and if they can’t do that then they ain’t winning or covering this spread. They won’t so take Bowling Green and lay the -2.5 points.
Massachusetts @ Notre Dame OVER 59 – This game has all the makings of a high scoring affair. Notre Dame can and will score against any team in the nation with an offense that’s well balanced on the ground and thru the air as evidenced by their rushing totals of 214, 253 and 215 to go along with passing totals of 313, 207 and 242 in their 3 wins against no defeats this season. Meanwhile, UMass has totaled 397 and 438 total yards offensively in it’s first two games against Colorado and Temple but have struggled mightily defensively as it has allowed 558 and 448 total yards defensively. Umass will get blown out in this game but should score 17-21 points while Notre Dame could and should eclipse 45-50 points themselves. Play the OVER as points will be scored in bunches.
Ohio State -31.5 over Western Michigan – The defending National Champion Buckeyes have sleep walked the last two weeks to two very sluggish wins in which they failed to cover the spread in both wins over Hawaii 38-0 and Northern Illinois 20-13. Head coach Urban Meyer cannot be happy as his offense is far too talented and good to be held under 50 points each week and especially against mid major competition. Look for Ohio State’s offense to break out in a big time way and hang 50 plus on a Western Michigan team that lost it’s only road game this season 43-17 at Georgia Southern. Ohio State should and will take Western Michigan behind the woodshed in Columbus and blow the doors off the Broncos. Lay the points.
