Michigan pk over Ohio State – The Michigan Wolverines hired head coach Jim Harbaugh for one reason and one reason only…..to beat Ohio State. The Wolverines have been absolutely owned in this series with the arch rivals over the past decade as they are 1-9 in the last 10 years against the Buckeyes including 0-3 against Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer. It all starts to changed this Saturday in the “Big House” as we feel Michigan will let Ohio State know that their days of owning and embarrassing Michigan on the gridiron are over for the foreseeable future. Michigan enters this game 9-2 overall in Harbaugh’s first season on the sideline and should be 10-1 with a chance to go to the Big Ten title game had it not choked in the final seconds against Michigan State at home 5 weeks ago. Michigan will be extremely motivated to not let another game get away against a bitter rival this Saturday and should win if they don’t turn the ball over. Ohio State comes into this game 10-1 overall and still having an outside chance at winning getting to the Big Ten title game if Michigan State loses and/or possibly the College Football Playoff if some top teams around the country ahead of them lose. However, we don’t see it happening as Michigan is playing better overall football and will be tough to beat at home. Take Michigan pk’ on the spread.
Tennessee -17 over Vanderbilt – Tennessee has quietly put together a very solid season as they come into this rivalry game against Vanderbilt with a 7-4 overall record and winners of their last four games. In fact, Tennessee could be arguably a Top 10 team in the nation had some things broken their way this season in some very winnable games that ended up losses against outstanding football teams. Tennessee had both Oklahoma and Florida on the ropes but could close the deal and ended up losing 31-24 at home to Oklahoma in overtime and 28-27 at Florida. Their other two losses were very competitive games with a 24-20 loss to Arkansas and a 19-14 loss at Alabama. Tennessee can play with any team in the nation and should be one of the preseason Top 15 teams in the nation next season. However, first things first, as we look for Tennessee to continue their return to prominence under head coach Butch Jones with a thorough beat down of Vanderbilt this Saturday at home. Vanderbilt’s offense is absolutely putrid and they have failed to put up more than 185 total yards of offense in 3 of their last 4 games. Tennessee’s defense is ranked 25th in the nation and should be able to shut down Vanderbilt and make it another long day for Vandy fans this weekend. Lay the points and take Tennessee.
Georgia -5 over Georgia Tech – It’s revenge time for the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday as they look to return the favor on their rivals the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Atlanta for a home loss last season in Athens. Georgia comes into this Saturday’s showdown with their bitter rivals 8-3 overall while Georgia Tech is winding down a miserable season that has them at 3-8 coming into their season finale game. Georgia is the vastly superior team in all facets of the game and will be extremely motivated to lay the wood on Georgia Tech for their embarrassing loss last season in front of their home fans to the Yellow Jackets. The betting line on this game is an absolute mistake as there is no way Georgia should not be favored by at least a touchdown or more in this matchup. Georgia has owned this series the past decade as they are 8-2 overall including 7-3 against the spread against Georgia Tech and we look for Georgia’s 13th ranked national defense to be the difference Saturday against Georgia Tech’s struggling 56th ranked offense. This game will be a blowout and a laugher so we look forward to making some easy cash on this game with the Bulldogs. Take Georgia -5.
