2015 College Football Picks & Predictions – Week 10 Odds & Free College Football Picks
Saturday, November 14th, 2015
Memphis +7 over Houston – The Memphis Tigers enter this matchup 8-1 overall after falling from the list of unbeaten teams last week with a 45-20 loss at home to Navy. Memphis will try and get back on track and keep it’s hopes for the AAC Conference Title alive this week when it travels to Houston to take on the 16th nationally ranked Cougars who are still unbeaten at 9-0. These two teams have faced off the last two seasons with Houston getting the better of Memphis both times including a 28-24 win at Memphis last season. However, we look for the tables to get turned this year and for Memphis to come in angry and focused looking to get back on track from last week’s disappointing loss and also enact some revenge on Houston for the losses the last two seasons. We still feel Memphis is the better overall team and feel their offense can exploit an overrated Houston defense that is ranked 22nd nationally but gave up 30 points and 589 total yards last week to Cincinnati. Memphis’ offense is better than Cincinnati’s and Houston will have a tough time keeping them in check in this game. That will be the difference. Take Memphis +7 points and don’t be surprised if they win outright.
Oklahoma +3 over Baylor – We can’t wait for this game as we feel it will be one of the most entertaining games of the weekend and season. Oklahoma comes in 8-1 overall and 7-2 against the spread and one of the most underrated and underappreciated teams in the nation in our opinion. Oklahoma has been lights out all season except for an embarrassing 24-17 loss at Texas that has somehow persuaded some experts into thinking they ain’t as good as their record indicates. Nonsense. Oklahoma is one of the most well balanced teams in the nation as it’s offense is 4th in the country in scoring and it’s defense is 16th in the country in points allowed. Oklahoma gets it done on both sides of the ball and will be going up against a Baylor Bears team that is 9-0 overall but suspect on defense. Baylor has the top-ranked offense in the nation as they score 57.4 points per game but it’s defense is ranked just 77th nationally as it allows 25 points per game. Make no mistake, Oklahoma can and will hang with Baylor and, in our opinion, should win this game outright if it brings it’s “A” game. Oklahoma has lost the last two matchups to Baylor by a combined 89-26 score and they will have a little extra motivation for this showdown. Take the points and look for Oklahoma to win outright.
LSU -7.5 over Arkansas – LSU is coming off of a disappointing 30-16 loss at Alabama last week that damaged it’s SEC West Division title hopes and now they’ll have to put that behind them as they host a surging Arkansas team in Baton Rouge this Saturday. LSU comes in 7-1 overall and Arkansas is 5-4 overall after they beat Ole Miss 53-52 last Saturday on the road. Arkansas’ offense has been on fire the last three weeks as they scored 53 at Ole Miss, 63 at home versus Tenn-Martin and 54 at home against Auburn. Arkansas’ offense is now ranked 36th in the country in scoring but their defense has been a big time disappointment this year as it is rated just 86th nationally in points allowed. We look for LSU’s offense to have it’s way against Arkansas this week on the ground and the Tigers will be very motivated after getting shut out last season in Arkansas 17-0. This game looks like a mismatch on paper and we expect it to translate to the field as well as LSU matches up very well against the Hogs and they’ll be looking for some big time revenge to boot. Lay the points as LSU should roll.
