2015 College Football Picks & Predictions Week 1 – 3 Saturday Free Expert College Football Picks
Louisville @ Auburn UNDER 57.5 – This line may look low because bettors are used to seeing Auburn head coach Gus Malzhan’s offense putting up points in bunches and Auburn’s defense not doing much to keep the opposing team in check, but that is all about to change this season. Auburn has brought in outstanding defensive mind Will Muschamp to be the new defensive coordinator for the Tigers and he should have Auburn’s defense amongst the Top 25 nationally this season. He couldn’t have picked a better foe to go up against in his debut as he will be going up against a Louisville offense that only returns 3 starters and will be breaking in a new quarterback. Look for Auburn’s defense to make a statement in the opener and hold Louisville’s offense in check all game long. Play the UNDER.
Arkansas State @ USC OVER 69 – Arkansas State was 18th in the nation last year in scoring offense as they pumped out 36.7 points per game and they bring back 9 starters offensively including senior quarterback Fredi Knighton who passed for 3,277 yards and 24 touchdowns. Arkansas State will be able to score on virtually everyone and they’ll have to as their defense was 90th nationally last year giving up 30.5 points per game and only welcome back 4 starters. Meanwhile, on the other side of the field the USA Trojans are loaded this season and are bringing back 14 starters with 7 on both sides of the field as they have legit PAC 12 title hopes. Senior quarterback Cody Kessler returns and is a Heisman Trophy favorite in our eyes as he will have another outstanding season coming off of last year’s season that saw him pass for 3,826 yards and 39 touchdowns. This game will have plenty of points scored and should easily go OVER. Play the OVER 69 points.
UCLA -19 over Virginia – This game should get out of hand early. UCLA is returning 17 starters with 9 on offense and 8 on defense from a team that went 10-3 last season including 6-3 in PAC 12 play. The offense will have to break in a new starter at quarterback but should have no problems in the opener going up against a Virginia team that went 5-7 last season and is only returning 9 starters. Virginia’s defense was the strength of it’s team last year as it was a respectable 32nd nationally in only allowing 24.1 points per game. However, with only 4 returning starters defensively and an offense that should be terrible and keep the defense on the field for long stretches each game, expect Virginia’s defense to wear down in the 2nd half on Saturday and get blown out. lay the points with UCLA -19.
