Updated vegas odds for saturday’s West Virginia Mountaineers vs Duke Blue Devils 2010 Final Four matchup are now posted on NSAwins.com and vegas oddsmakers have Duke a -2.5 point favorite with the total set at 131. Duke(33-5) is making it’s 1st Final Four appearance since 2004 and the 15th appearance in school history(11 under head coach Mike Krzyzewski). Duke is the only #1 seed to make it to this year’s Final Four and has been dominant en route to Indianapolis, as they rolled past #16 seed Arkansas Pine-Bluff(73-44), #8 seed California(68-53), #4 seed Purdue(70-57) and #3 seed Baylor(78-71) to win the South Region. West Virginia(31-6) will be making it’s 2nd Final Four appearance in school history, as the 1959 team led by Jerry West was national runner-up after losing by one to California in the title game. Head coach Bob Huggins was able to bring his alma mater back to the Final Four by upsetting #1 seed Kentucky 73-66 in the East Regional final. The Mountaineers stormed thru the 1st three rounds by dominating #15 seed Morgan St(77-50), #10 seed Missouri(68-59) and #11 seed Washington(69-56). This game will match the Big East Tournament Champion(West Virginia) vs the ACC Regular Season and Tournament Champion(Duke) in what should eventually yield the favorite in Monday’s National Championship game. The Mountaineers will be without their starting PG Darryl Bryant for the 3rd straight game and will have to overcome Duke’s pressure on their ballhandlers. Duke, meanwhile, is not as athletic as the Mountaineers and will have to avoid being pushed around by the smaller but more physical West Virginia team. NSAwins.com’s expert handicapper Steve Kendall looks for this game to be tight throughout with the game playing OVER the total of 131.
