2019 Free March Madness Picks – Midwest Region Odds & Bracketology Projections: It might not be the toughest region of the 2019 March Madness Bracket, but the Midwest has a strong argument. North Carolina is the top seed in the region, but traditional powerhouses Kentucky and Kansas are also lurking. Throw in the SEC tournament champion Auburn Tigers, and the Midwest has no shortage of offensive firepower.

NCAA Midwest Bracket Favorites to Make the Final Four
North Carolina: North Carolina was the third ACC team to grab a No. 1 seed, and in typical Roy Williams fashion, the Tar Heels are a juggernaut in terms of scoring the ball and rebounding. Cameron Johnson, Coby White and Luke Maye can all take over offensively, and North Carolina is averaging more than 86 points per game as a team. The top teams in this bracket should be willing to run with the Tar Heels, and this team can outscore anyone.
Kentucky: After the season started with a humiliating loss to Duke, the Wildcats recovered to finish tied for second in a loaded SEC. As usual, the young Kentucky team only got better as the year went on, and they have athletes all over the court. That balance allows the Wildcats to win both high-scoring games and lower-scoring games, and their versatility is going to play dividends in March. Meanwhile, PJ Washington has emerged as a true go-to scorer this group.
Auburn: Fresh off of blasting Tennessee to win the SEC tournament title, the Tigers bring their high-powered offense into March Madness. Led by the dynamic backcourt of Bryce Brown and Jared Harper, Auburn is averaging nearly 80 points per game. Both Brown and Harper can be deadly from long range, and they allow the Tigers to play at a pace that few teams can keep up with. Auburn has the offensive to hang with both North Carolina and Kentucky. They have a real shot to advance out of the Midwest.

NCAA Midwest Bracket Upset Specials
Seton Hall over Wofford: The Terriers had an incredible season and got rewarded with a No. 7 seed, but when you look at what they did out of conference, there isn’t much too be impressed with. Enter a Seton Hall team playing its best basketball of the year, and the Pirates just finished off a stretch that included two wins over Marquette, a win over Villanova and a two-point loss to Villanova in the Big East tournament. I’m riding the hot hand.
NCAA Midwest Bracket High Seed on Alert
Kansas: It has been a tumultuous season for the Jayhawks, and Kansas saw its incredible run of Big 12 regular season titles come to an end. Injuries have played a big part, but there is no denying that this is a flawed team. Kansas has really struggled on the defensive end, and after Dedric Lawson, the Jayhawks don’t have a go-to weapon on the offensive end. The Jayhawks are a No. 4 seed in name only. This year’s team just doesn’t have the tools to make a deep run.
