The 2017 MVC Tournament, known as “Arch Madness”, takes place March 2nd thru March 5th from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The #1 seed for this year’s MVC Tournament is Illinois State who finished with a 17-1 record atop the Missouri Valley Conference regular season standings in a tie with #2 seed Wichita State. Illinois State finished with a 25-5 overall regular season record while Wichita State finished 27-4 overall.

The Shockers have made the MVC Tournament Championship Game in 3 of the last 4 seasons and won the MVC Tournament in 2014. Wichita State enters the tournament with a RPI of 41 and could be in great position to earn an at-large bid if they can simply make it to the MVC Tournament Championship game in our opinion.

Prediction: Wichita State Win the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament We like Wichita State to win the 2017 MVC Tournament Title Game over Illinois State in a rubber match. Illinois State won the first meeting at home 76-62 but were completely outclassed and dominated in the rematch at Wichita State to a tune of 86-45. Wichita State is the most talented team in this league and we look for them to show it this week.
