Gonzaga should be hungry to dominate this week at the WCC Tournament after losing to BYU and an impressive showing could land them a #1 seed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament Bracket when the field is released next weekend.
Saint Mary’s Gaels(26-3 overall, 16-2 in West Coast Conference) – Much like Mark Few, Saint Mary’s head coach Randy Bennett arguably has his most talented and best overall team at Saint Mary’s in his 14 years as head coach. Saint Mary’s had a dominant regular season with their only two conference losses coming against Gonzaga as they lost 79-56 at Gonzaga on January 14th and 74-64 at home on February 11th. Saint Mary’s enters the 2017 WCC Tournament with a RPI rating of 18 and safely in the 2017 NCAA Field of 68 and should get a high seed no lower than 6 if they can reach the Championship Game at the 2017 WCC Tournament. Saint Mary’s owns impressive out of conference wins against Nevada(RPI 40) and at Dayton(RPI 21).
